Stalled southwest Charlotte development finally moves forward, but with new plans

Called the “District on Tryon,” the project includes around 75,000 square feet of retail and restaurants, and either offices or a hotel near the intersection of South Tryon Street and West Tyvola Road, said Zack Kosofsky, a partner at Woodhaven Development Group, one of the developers. After a long delay, developers will finally commence the development of southwest Charlotte. Groundbreaking is set to kickoff and this will bring retail and other development to a fast-growing area in southwest Charlotte. The project is referred to as the “District on Tryon” and includes around 75,000 square feet of retail and restaurants, and either offices or a 350-room hotel near the intersection of South Tryon Street and West Tyvola Road. Zack Kosofsky, a partner at Woodhaven Development Group—one of the developers, said that the project will be built in phases and with target completion by 2022. The other developer of the project is the Ghazi Company.


NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, NC

The NASCAR Hall of Fame is located at 400 E. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Charlotte, North Carolina.
